Festive Hair for Christmas: Tips for a Radiant Look

Feestelijk haar met Kerst: Tips voor een stralende Look

The Christmas season is the perfect opportunity to shine and your hair plays a crucial role in this. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to think about how to give your hair that extra festive touch. Whether you prefer an elegant updo or playful curls, with these tips from our founder and Hairdresser of the Year Andy Uffels, you can make sure your hair shines just as brightly as the Christmas lights.

  1. Plan ahead : Think about what you want to do with your hair in advance. This will prevent last-minute stress and give you time to buy any necessary products or accessories. Is this difficult? Then call your hairstylist, they will probably have some good ideas and may be willing to give you a mini-masterclass to create your look for Christmas.
  2. Condition your hair : Always underestimated….a good conditioner!. A good conditioner provides protection, but also smooth and shiny hair, the perfect base for any festive hairstyle. Consider a leave-in conditioner for extra care or use the My Hero Wonder Spray , this also makes it easier to style your hair well.
  3. Opt for a classic updo : An elegant bun or French twist is always stylish and festive. Festive hair accessories such as gemstone clips, velvet headbands or even a small Christmas decoration can transform your hairstyle into something special and for extra Christmas shine. Don't overdo it. It is beautiful when it is subtly present because then your natural beauty comes out the most.
  4. Play with textures : Surprise yourself and others with a different look. If you normally have straight hair, try curls for a festive look. But also the other way around. Use a curling iron or rollers for soft, romantic curls that match any Christmas outfit. Or use a flat iron to make your hair calm and smooth. Note; never use more than 195 degrees!
  5. Add some shine : A little hairspray might be necessary to keep your hair in place for a little longer. You also want your hair to smell nice. So use the Hold It There hairspray . Glitter can give your look that little bit extra. The best way to do this is to use a glitter spray. Lightly spray it over your hair for a subtle, festive shine.
  6. Experiment with braids : Braids are versatile and can be both chic and playful. A fishtail braid or a crown braid can really complete your party outfit. If you can’t do it yourself, your hairstylist can still schedule it just in time for Christmas!
  7. Take care of your scalp : A healthy scalp is the foundation of beautiful hair. Use a nourishing scalp treatment to strengthen your hair from the roots. Take care of your scalp as you would your face.

With these tips you are ready to shine during the Christmas holidays. And remember, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in your look. Happy holidays, full of fun with family and friends!
